Mission and Purpose

The purpose of the ICA will be to unify the multicultural presence on campus represented by a diverse student population.  Inclusion will signify a unified multi-cultural atmosphere and participating organizations would be expected to support each other in individual club endeavors.

Membership

The ICA will consist of a delegation from any interested registered student organization as well as any student currently enrolled at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.  Membership will be voluntary among organizations classified as multi-cultural.  Each club will have one vote in voting matters.

Eliot Chenaux Cultural Alliance Award

An award will be given out at the end of each academic year called the Eliot Chenaux Cultural Alliance Award for Excellence to the member club that does the most to foster a unilateral multicultural atmosphere on campus.  This will consist of a plaque for the club itself, as well as a permanent plaque to be hung in the Student Activities office, and carries with it a $500 bonus for the following year put into the organization's UCSO account to be used in any manner.  A committee will be established from an equal number of Non-Member students and faculty/staff to evaluate and make the award.

The officers will consist of: President, two Vice-Presidents: Vice President of Public Relations and Vice President of Recruitment & Retention.  Officers may be a member of a member-club, but may not hold any other office in the member-clubs.
